The swallows are gathering

I have been watching the swallows giving the most amazing aerial display and whilst I have loved to see their restless enthusiasm for their forthcoming migration I am sad to think they will be gone very soon. sad

I hsve decided to use the winter to get some nest boxes put up in the eaves ready for next year.

We have moved recently and I no longer see swallows buzzing about. I love the way they chatter away to each other while sitting on overhead wires. I do miss them.

I think ours are gone , swifts and house martins seem to be still here
