Michael Bentines Flea Circus

I loved Michael Bentine's programmes. He was so funny. Was it Derek Guyler he used to have on the programmes too?
Called something like 'At last the 1948 show'?

I certainly do remember - he was great. It is fascinating how children misunderstand things.

My DD saw a sign "Caution: plant crossing" - and this initiated an interesting conversation!

Michael Bentine was a fascinating man. Among many other things he was a firearms instructor for the Met. I went to a talk he gave shortly before he died, very funny! After he staged an invasion of the Television Centre he was told that under no circumstances was the Television Centre to be used for entertainment!

Anyone remember the recording of him, supposedly reading the football results on the radio, and getting more and more excited as he checked his coupon at the same time?

I'm sorry but I found the flea thing boring.

I feel as if I was really young when this stuff came out, maybe a bit before my time.
Its just that there wasn't too much stuff on for children, so we watched it anyway.
