Good Morning Friday

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Grey and misty in South Yorkshire. I actually thought we might have a bit of rain yesterday it got quite dark in the late afternoon, but no. After frying at the cricket yesterday, I intend to have a domestic day today. GS is coming for the weekend so I will also do some baking. Have a good day folks.

The sun is up here on the south coast and someone has pressed the repeat weather button although we did have one 5-minute shower at 11am yesterday. Just enough to wet the flags but did nothing for the parched gardens!

Domestic day for me too today as I am supposed to have my leg elevated as much as possible. It seems a little better this morning.

SW this morning. Out to dinner for our 42 nd Wedding Anniversay this evening. It was actually on Tuesday but we were otherwise busy.

Morning All

Grey and still here in the north of Norfolk. Storm clouds gathered yesterday afternoon but no rain dropped.

I saw the consultant yesterday afternoon and have been signed off. Apparently I’m ahead of schedule! The knee is good! Came home, and fell asleep. I now have to get a bit of stamina and fitness back. He warned not to overdo it - fat chance when I keep randomly dozing off.

Now to do the ironing before the sun ‘burns through’. I don’t know if that counts in a fitness regime.

Our dear GS 5 won his running race at the Sports Day ?which was lovely as he is having a difficult time in his life at present.

Planning a bit of retail therapy today. I'm on my way to look for the Germaine pink M&S dress for Rufus' birthday party. I've decided to have some me time after yesterday's busy day. However, I'm beginning to feel decidedly queasy.☹️

Our toddler granddaughter had been up all night vomitting, so as well as the funeral, we spent the day at DS' home cleaning sick??, stripping beds and trying to help DIL.
On top of that, we came back to DH's carefully manicured lawns covered in building materials. At least he has a reprieve from grass cutting duties for the next few weeks.?
In our drives was a skip, digger, portaloo and cement mixer. DGDâ would have been in heaven.

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Going to a family gathering in Hereford this weekend, so much of today will be spent travelling. Gonna be hot on the motorway!

Sleeping better so obviously getting slightly used to it and have cracked keeping the bedroom slightly acceptable!

It's cool now compared with yesterday but I suspect it will get 'oribbly 'ot again. I have had enough and want some useful rain.

Morning all, and Happy Anniversary Ginny. Good luck with finding "the pink dress" Marydoll. I looked on Wed, sadly no luck but plenty of other monstrosities to choose from. Friends popping in this afternoon, and a bit of shopping. Slept badly last night, so foggy head this AM. Have a good day one and all.
