Good Morning Sunday
(30 Posts)Morning Mick, morning All
The sun is streaming in the windows and it’s wonderfully warm already. That High pressure area has moved just enough so Norfolk is no longer waking to cloud and having to wait for the sun to burn it off. And with no wind today I think the heatwave proper may have reached us!
The knee is a bit achey and swollen this morning after the physio had a go at it yesterday so light pottering for me today.
NFK I have started a course of turmeric capsules also take black seed oil which is cumin seeds.
These are supposed to be good for things like leg swell as well, worth a try.
I am using them as an alternative diabetics wise ,and help with weight loss.
Mick
I’ve just started taking turmeric capsules a few days ago as my DH ordered them (he’s diabetic) and then discovered he couldn’t take them with the medication he’s on for something else. (I hate waste!). I heard they can help with weight loss. I didn’t know about swelling. I’ll let you know!
Morning Mick, Nfk and everyone!
Another sunny start here on the south coast. It feels routine now to waken up to sun and warmth and it will be a shock when it changes! Could do with some rain on the garden though.
DH picks up his new electric bike this morning and has agreed to reduce his stable of 6 bikes to 5 to accommodate it. My bet is he won't use the 5 once he gets used to the new one. We'll see.
Have a good day folks!
Good morning Mick and Nfk. A beautiful morning again today in Glasgow. I can't believe how long this good weather has lasted. It's great, as all the schools are on holiday now.
Another sleepless night, so I decided to get up and potter about.
Take it easy Nfk. I have thought about taking turmeric Mick, but unsure if it would affect my other medication.
Please keep us updated on your progress.
Enjoy your Sunday.
Good morning too, Gaga.
Good morning, another beautiful day on the horizon here in N. Bucks. Dds two dogs staying whilst she and family are on holiday so just off for a slow wander ( they are both 16 years old) before it gets too warm for them.
BBQ with rest of family this afternoon.
Enjoy your Sunday.
An early Good Morning to you all from me.......and indeed a little less sunny and a tad cooler over night,so perhaps a far more bearable day.
I have badly swoollen legs so you have me considering the benefits of turmeric Mike and NFKD...........do tell if you think they work.
Another set of viewers travelling down from Bristol.....if they are half as complimentary as yesterday`s were then we shall be happy............a few less cars heading for the beach would not go amiss either!!
Wishing you all a restful day and enjoyment in whatever you have planned.
Morning everyone,
Absolutely chucking it down here in Cornwall, babysitting the GCs, off to the beach today for lunch, but we might not get the stroll along the beach that we normally enjoy.
Still it’s a change from the heat.
Let’s hope it will stop soon though.
Have a great Sunday.
Morning all.
North Leicestershire is warm and sunny this morning with a bit of welcome breeze. We had Bertie and Persie overnight both of whom have really bad coughs so a disturbed night was had by all.
Their parents are coming for lunch and then taking them home - I suspect dh and I will have a big sit down and probably a few zzzzz.
Good morning Michael and all GNs. A clear blue sky and a light breeze in South Yorkshire. We may get out for a walk if it doesn’t get too warm. In the meantime, a gentle start to the day. Happy Sunday, folks.
Also in response to what I mentioned about turmeric and black seed oil a cumin seed .
I have set myself two targets .
1: continue turmeric and above alongside metformin
2: Loos weight but I gradual stages aim to get to my body mass weight down from obese /overweight aiming a 5kg at a time reduction in loss.

Good morning all from a very sunny day in Leamington Spa. I'm staying with DD1 and 3 DGD'S for a week. My daughter recently joined a choir and we went to hear them sing last night in Coventry. It was beautiful, a mixture of popular songs and some truly wonderful classical pieces. It moved me, and the lady sitting next to me, to tears at times. It was in aid of Combat Stress and a lovely evening.
Family bbq planned for today.
Good morning from a mild NE. We are having pleasant weather but nowhere near the temperatures the rest of you are having.
My sister is in France and it is 36+ and my daughter is working in Geneva for two weeks and she says it is very warm.
Just had a brief shower in Torquay and it remains overcast and warm, following several days of sunshine.
Good morning from sunny Colchester. It's been hot and dry here but with a cooling breeze....unusual to be the coolest part of the country but has always been the driest.
Would love to have a bit of your rain Oopsadaisy but just overnight for the sake of the garden.
I have achey feet after yesterday's trip to London as we walked quite a bit in the heat. Will take it easy today.
Good morning all x
Morning all.
N.Kent has a lovely sunny start today. Same as Norfolk Nfk it's good not to have to wait for the cloud to burn away as we have the last few days.
H left early for the allotment as usual on a Sunday. I'm in the garden with coffee and the papers. I might start some jobs soon
Good Morning everyone, absolutely beautiful skies here today in North East Fife. So looking forward to today. Special lunch out.
It’s another hot day here, Cambridgeshire, blue sky not a cloud in sight. Getting fed up with it now, long for some rain, my poor garden. I really don’t do well in the heat.
Interested in your turmeric Mick. I suffer with swollen legs especially in this heat, and could certainly loose some extra pounds. Worried about my medication though, I take blood pressure pills, and thyroid as well.
Good morning everyone.
Another hot day here in South Yorkshire, and the start of another month of course.I can’t believe how quickly the months are passing by.
A pottering sort of day today, I think.
Good morning all, lovely day in SE Essex, light breeze at the moment.
Didn't sleep well last night, I think I got about 2 hours in snatches, feel horrid. Need to shake a leg as off to my good friend in her new bungalow for lunch later (we have been friends for 38 years, she moved next door to me when we were first married, our children have grown up together and now our grandchildren play together) Since loosing my Mum her friendship means even more, as we can remember each other when we were young!!!!! So many years and shared history I count myself very lucky.
Good Morning Mick and Everyone; Lovely sunny day for a welcome change. 2C to 14C max.
Aussie neighbour, just back from a trip to Switzerland and Italy, popped in today to greet me with some very nice Swiss "choccies"and said,
"Pinch, punch, first day of the month and ........"! also "White Rabbit" to be said before Noon.
My memory is still good enough to complete the first one for her, but never heard of the second. Perhaps it's Aussie! Can anyone help?
Ooroo!
We say Rabbits, rabbits rabbits on the first of the month. Some say white rabbits. Supposedly before you say anything else first thing in the morning. Except I didn’t today as I didn’t realise it was the first of July!
