Sewing residents names on to their clothes or not?
I understand the need to safeguard individual pieces of clothing while in respite but sewing names into garments are a no go area for me.
I was fortunate enough to manage small care homes in my distant past and helped staff to manage laundry in an appropriate manner. We never ever sewed names on to clothing we just managed it’s not really a hard task to do.
How would you manage laundry issues which would give residents a dignified stay in respite or in fact long term residential care?

I'd hoped to donate it to Sarah when MIL had no further use for it, but sadly they died the same week. So guess who's now often sporting a bag with another woman's name inside?
