We've never been holiday minded ,were always self employed and our busy season ran from March to November ,so it was simpler not to try to get away.the problem now is we're sort of semi retired ,I do a lot of childcare for grandchildren and my OH likes to keep busy with charity work and doing the odd kitchen or bathroom for friends (free of charge ) he enjoys it as its very different from his REAL job. However we're both getting increasingly irritated by folk who keep asking WHEN we're going "somewhere nice" or telling us we should be taking the chance to "travel" why cant people just accept its not what we want to do..its always a "but you must want to get away ,you should just book it and then tell your kids to make other arrangements"Our best friends retired at the beginning of the year and have spent most of the time driving around the country looking at scenery...not my thing at all, they've known me 40 years so why are they insisting we join them on their next trip? I'm fed up telling them I dont want to go ANYWHERE I'm very happy doing what I do .How do I get them to stop hassling us or am I just ODD
What a difference a day makes 😢😢
