Ouch my poor knee!

I was on my knees doing the Kitchen floor today. It isn't a huge kitchen so not as bad as it sounds. I suddenly thought " Ouch my knee", but carried on regardless, was wearing jeans as usual.

When I undresses to get in the bath later this evening I was horrified. ALL of my knee, and surrounding bit is very black and blue. Perhaps I knelt on a little stone or just twisted it.

Oh well, it's a lomg way from my heart I guess, but next time I will use a kneeling pad or an old Towel, so take heed ladies don't shuffle on your knees on a hard floor. Thankfully I hardly wear a dress these days as it looks very unattractive.

Ouch I wonder what you could have done without realising you had hurt yourself? Do you usually bruise easily ? i m the exact opposite I can be knocked and banged so hard but rarely bruise and when I do it's like a little apology of a bruise nothing to show for the accident

Hope it all goes back to normal soon x

Ooh sounds bad. We need to look after our knees as I know only too well. Time to buy a mop?

Are you on anti-clotting medication?

And I hate to be obvious but why don't you use a mop?

you may have burst a small blood vessel as you say by kneeling on something hard. Try ice packs on it for a few days and pain relief.
I agree with riverwalk wouldn't be without my steam mop.

If you have arthritis it could be osteophytes.Mine pierced something on inside of knee, leg swelled up like a balloon and ended up with thigh to ankle strapping and on crutches for a while. All better now but they are still there.

I bruise if a fly lands on me Hopehope I'm often asked how I got a particular bruise but I don't always know it happened. I have had tests but no problem found. I use a an implement to which I attach a disposable wet floor wipe this saves kneeling. Yes I know its not very eco friendly but it is knee friendly. smile

Thanks for the sympathy. I do bruise easily always have done, not on any meds, and as far as I am aware I don't have arthritis.

But yes, you are all correct. I need to head off to the mop shop :-)

Riverwalk, I don't know is the answer it has always been instinct to grab a cloth and drop to my knees lol. not anymore though. it isn't too painful, aches a bit but it looks gross.

Thanks all
