Uncomfortable bras

Thanks for the good idea. I too suffer from the 'afternoon spread' and a lately am suffering from the straps sliding off my shoulders. I must be getting a Dowagers hump. I would love to bin my bras but couldn't cope with my boobs knocking against me knees oh for the long gone days of the 32B!

I wear the Genie bras which I find very comfortable - although a friend who is very well endowed finds they don't give her enough support.

Are genie bras like AhhBras ?

I use these exclusively now. The great thing is one is enough support for indoors and I layer one over the other for good support when I go out.

So comfortable, no back boobs or cutting in. Heaven !

Not heard of AhhBras but looking at them online they are very similar to Genie bras.

AhhBras seems to have shut down in the U.K. . They did all sizes up to 5x in lots of colours , so I'm glad I stocked up when I did lol

There are some Ahh bras on Ebay NanaandGrampy. I think they look more supportive than the Genie and some have removeable padding. I had never heard of them so have ordered a triple pack of the lacy ones, after Googling the sizings.

I hate bras too, and just before reading this had undone mine...as i usually do later in the day. i have never heard of those mentioned. Will check them out. Thanks.

I had a bad bra experience today! I was cooking with DGD in the kitchen and kept getting acute pain in my right nipple - once I had made sure the jam tart6s were not burning I investigated. Somehow a sharp bristle from my hair brush had embedded itself in my bra and was poking directly into my nipple - no wonder it hurt!! But a bit of a relief to know there is nothing amiss with my anatomy!

Thanks I thought it was just me who couldn't wait to get home and take the blooming thing off. Such a comfort to be in good company.

My, admittedly unglamorous ,solution is to put my bra on over a camisole or sleeveless tshirt laye.
It stays comfortable all day.

Nothing beats coming in from work, at the end of a long day, and unhooking your bra. The relief is bliss. Sometimes, if I'm working alone, I slip both straps off my shoulders and pull my arms through. But I have to straighten myself up again before I leave my office! The days of pert boobs have long gone!

Bras are the bane of my life , I find that I have to have the shoulder straps so loose that they don`t hold me up and the fasteners at the back really are painful on my spine bones . I have found a sort of solution in a pull on effort which has a bit of padding . It is not a good look though , I feel very frumpy and it does not give a good shape under clothes . I have tried every kind of bra there is and they ALL HURT ! May look at the genie and extenders .

I'm 38A and to find a comfortable bra is well- nigh impossible. Most cups are far too full for my small breasts, so I look like the cow with the crumpled horn. The band underneath the breasts is always on the last hook, or it cuts into my flesh. Cotton bras are particularly difficult to find. The pull on comfort bras are all made from nylon jersey and make me too hot, as my autonomic system has given up and I have no thermometer. I can't understand why M&S stock so few bras in my size - am I a freak?

I burned my bras in the 70's. Don't any of you just go free?

Coolgran Thanks for your suggestion . I have tried the front fastening ones but still find them uncomfortable . I really don`t know what the answer is apart from going braless , difficult at a 36 c/d ! I have bra free days when staying at home

I second Hellomonty's suggestion above. I had been wearing 34E bras and after measuring using the bra guru guide wear a 32G. The look and fit is so much better.

Jaxie, I'm a 38A too, and used to have a lot of trouble but found some very smooth, stretchy-cup ones with wide straps, no wiring or anything else to dig in, in M&S. They come in S,M and L - I found the M size fine.
Not exactly glam but who cares? I wear them nearly all the time.
I agree, not always easy to find 38A but you can always order at M&S.

Had a fitting yesterday at M &S and i was still 40dd but the bra i bought from M&S last month which was also A 40dd was digging in all over and the assistant was shocked at the red marks, we tried other bra's and they were fine. The assistant replaced my old(18 days) bra with a new one.Must have been the style or it had been sized wrong. Aahh bra's cant be beaten though.

Have just been on the WOWCHER site and they have aahh style bra's at 3 for £6, i bought a pack 3/4 years ago and they are still going strong. I feel they have better support and straps than aahh bra
