Following the husbands monopolising the TV to watch football thread, I wondered how many TV sets you have?

We have 4 shock - in the lounge, 'playroom', kitchen and bedroom.

I have 2 . One in my downstairs dining room/family room and one in my upstairs lounge. The one upstairs hardly ever get used as we very rarely use the room .

I Have never had a TV in my bedroom (except for a small b&w portable when I was a child at home with my parents).

thatbags - why don't you have a TV?
We've got one, and even when the family were at home only had one. In fact for a while we didn't have any. Husband was a tv engineer and had seen too many families "addicted".
It's smartphones now.

Two, one in downstairs lounge, one in my bedroom.

Two - his and hers!

baubles Sun 27-Nov-16 10:10:19

One.

Although I do occasionally watch a film on the laptop.

harrigran Sun 27-Nov-16 10:13:06

Two, one in the lounge and one in the music room. I have never had a TV in the bedroom, I would rather record programmes and watch them at a convenient time.
We never had a TV until after I was married and I don't think I would be bothered if it was removed from the house now.

Three, although one is now redundant, as I mostly watch at random times on iplayer.

M0nica Sun 27-Nov-16 10:26:17

One, and if I lived alone it would be none.

Three. One in living room, one in OHs bedroom and one in sons bedroom. I hate watching telly in bed so don't bother with one in my room.

Maranta Sun 27-Nov-16 10:50:20

Just one, but I find it easier to watch iPlayer on my tablet so it sometimes finds its way to the bedroom ?

boheminan Sun 27-Nov-16 11:09:10

none :-)

One and we watch for two hours per day , except when football is on of course. We record a lot and zoom through the adds so that saves time .

Three, one in the lounge, one in the loft room and a small one in a cupboard somewhere. That must be the "just in case" one.

Greyduster Sun 27-Nov-16 11:17:41

We have three but one of them is hardly ever used. We only keep it because it has a built in DVD player and our main player is on they blink. GS likes a DVD now and then. We have a main set in our lounge and a smaller set in our bedroom, which is only really used for when our programmes "clash". We recently had a solid roof put on our conservatory and my son said "Ooh, you ought to have a tv in here now - there's an arial socket". I told him very firmly what I thought of that idea - they have TVs in practically every room in their house!

ninathenana Sun 27-Nov-16 11:18:52

We never watch the one in our bedroom whilst in bed. It's the only place to put one for H to watch things I dont like.
S has a large one that is connected to his xbox one and sky box in his room as it's more of a bed sittingroom.

Witzend Sun 27-Nov-16 11:19:36

Four! And I've shocked myself a bit, writing that.

One (not huge) in the sitting room, small ones in the kitchen, a guest room, and a study cum ironing room.
We don't have one in our own bedroom and I don't think ever will. If I can't sleep I take myself off to the guest bedroom and listen to the radio, God bless the BBC World Service.

The only ones that are used anything like a lot are in the sitting room and kitchen.
Dh will watch the news (news addict!) while working in the 'study' and I have watched quite a lot of Homes Under the Hammer while ironing there.

We have three one in the living room which is the only Smart TV for downloading. One in the bedroom which ws the old one from the living room but it is rarely turned on now as we download and watch things at convenient times. DH has a small one in his study where he can watch sport etc while he does the ironing in there!!!

LadyGracie Sun 27-Nov-16 11:36:18

Three, one in lounge, one in kitchen diner, one in bedroom which we bought when I was laid up in bed after major operations

DanniRae Sun 27-Nov-16 13:19:22

One in lounge - one in bedroom that has hardly ever been watched (husband remarks on this regularly as he bought it for me for my birthday a few years ago)

tanith Sun 27-Nov-16 13:26:21

Two, smart tv in the living room one in the bedroom we watch the news with a cuppa before we get up and it was a godsend for OH last year when he was bedbound for a few weeks.
I watch things I like on my laptop/ipad which most people seem to do nowadays.
