Now that my grandchildren are young adults, I tend to give them money for birthdays and christmas. At Xmas, I usually add a few 'stocking fillers' which believe me, can add a substantial amount too! I used to think that someone who gave money just couldn't be bothered to go out and spend time looking for gifts. I've changed my mind. The young folk now seem to be all about designer labels and being a pensioner, there is no way I would be able to afford that. I don't agree with these labels anyway. So is it gifts or money folks this xmas?
