Morning Mick, morning all.

It's quite grey in North Leicestershire too. We had some spectacular rain and thunder and lightning yesterday afternoon while I was driving home from seeing mum. I was driving DH'S tiny car so it was quite frightening. We are going on the hunt for a new kitchen table today - we are not having much luck u poo to now

Day without GS2 so catching up on housework. Need to plant some pinks in pots, but must bung some compost in first. Then shopping. Then Mums shopping and nip in to do anything she needs doing. Then back to get dinner.

All go isn't it? Glad and grateful I can do it though.

Good morning to you all, and it has rained overnight, so everything feels fresh again. It is not as hot as it has been for which I am grateful. Hope you have a quiet day NanKate sometimes that is all it takes, and annsixty perhaps the boredom is a sign you are feeling better really? (Not sure that helps .) Surprised visit from our daughter and son-in-law yesterday which improved the day for the other half who is decidedly down in the dumps at the moment. So, off we go again - enjoy your days.

Sad news yesterday, last remaining aunt passed away in her care home. She chose a time when the whole family is in the UK or are in the process of returning, she will get a good send off.

Good Morning all. It was sunny a short while ago!

I have just picked and disposed of 40 fat slugs this morning.

There are more around I am sure.

Dry, but early on it felt like an Autumn morning. Off out to to collect brambles to make bramble jelly (not jam, DH hates the seeds). It's a race against time, as my neighbours will probably have the same idea.

How rude of me! I was so busy making sure that there were no spelling mistakes, I forgot to say "Good morning".
