Coffee table corner cushions for toddlers

No they don't work!
You could give very strong double velcro a go with your corners.
DD uses this under base of TV.
We have stair gates. So we just put coffee table upstairs out of the way while GC (all toddlers) are with us.

Before DD changed her TV cabinet to rounded corners she padded the one sharp corner (not against the wall)
Using cotton wool and cotton hankie over the top. She then just taped it on
She did this out of sight, when oldest toddler was in bedn other one was still a baby
It seemed to work.
if he went touch it she just said 'No a ah'
Could you put a thick cloth or towel over the table (secure underneath with sewn on ribbon)

Yes my GSs pulled them off particularly the toddler who notices and fiddles with everything.

When I was in a cafe with DGS, a lady on the next table who looked in her 80s automatically put her hand over the corner of the the table to protect his head when he walked around.

Old instincts kick in with parenting.

Oh Luckygirl just the same - DGS pulled them off as soon as he was walking and does every time he comes, cushions go on the floor, blind cords get tied up, everything swiped off coffee table - we got a thing from Amazon to secure TV but now TV has a blemish from a ball thrown at it - all pots pulled out cupboard, he is obsessed with batteries especially smoke alarm - why are these things so interesting?

I wonder what our parents/grandparents did?

I don't remember my mother having such things when my boys were toddlers......

I can't remember having them when mine where young we just made sure the coffee table (if we had one) was out of the way of little ones when they where toddling about.

We didn't even do that glamma. The only child safety products we use are stair gates and cupboard locks. The cupboard locks were deemed a good idea when DGD2 pulled out and dropped a bottle of red wine. It took years to get rid of the splashes!

The only things that we used to do / have were stair gates and room gates where needed and a cooker guard and a cat net for the pram, and a fixed fire guard.

When toddlers visit here, we put a chair in front of the tv ( so they can't fiddle or damage it) and pile large floor cushions over the hearth, so they can't hurt themselves if they fall on it.The oak coffee table has rounded off edges anyway luckily.

I have decided to try another set of corner protectors and, on the days when the littlest is here, put a cloth over the coffee table so that they are not visible - worth a try! Can't really put the whole table out of his reach as we are now in a bungalow and he can get into every room!

These little corner protectors are like a magnet to him - he just loves pulling them off.

None of my three DGS has ever gone for the corner protectors, so it looks like I've just been lucky. We've got the Prince Lionheart stuff everywhere - table, bed and desk corners, edge of the hearth. It's taken a few direct hits over the last three years, so has saved a trauma or two.

I cover my coffee table with an old thick blanket and push the table up against the wall to hold the blanket in place when my little grandson visits.

We didn't have anything to prevent accidents, we did that old fashioned thing called watching your children

Ah - I watch them like hawks, but they can move faster than either of us - or probably both of us put together!

I like the blanket idea - I don't have any blankets but I am sure I can think of something else. I will put new corner protectors on anyway as a sort of belt and braces job.
