What is everyone else's experiences of present day GP care? We have a medium sized practice within easy walking distance of our home. Appointments are not easy to come by unless you don't need to see anyone quickly when you can make an appointment over the phone and it's usually in about 2 weeks time.
We try to see the same GP to have some continuity if something is ongoing but that's not easy either.
DH has been struggling with a painful hip making it difficult to walk any distance for several months. He's been referred to the physio and he and the GP agree it's bursitis.
When visiting DD2 recently, again she commented on her Dad's limp. This time I noticed she had the conversation in front of her DH who is a consultant. He said you must get It X rayed to see what it is! He said you are being messed about
So. . . He's back from physio after ultra sound this morning, still limping, still in pain. He has an appointment, made a couple of weeks ago, to see (yet another unknown to us) GP tomorrow. I'm not optimistic
