How long do you wait 'on hold'? 20 mins so far with Autowindscreen. At least they don't say 'we are experiencing an unusually large number of calls at the moment' which you get from some companies every time you ring.

The phone is going out the window soon angry

Not good enough...... did you eventually get sorted confused

Yes, I did it via their website - why don't they tell you that! I gave up after 28 minutes and OH had to restrain me from stamping on the phone grin. BUT 2 weeks wait for an appt - it is a repair not a new screen. I have complained to my insurance company as I have no choice who I use.

Many years ago I worked for British Gas, when it was held in high esteem. We used to do regular checks on telephone response times in Customer Service departments and woe betide any manager where more than a minute number of customers calls were not answered within 5 minutes or who had an average wait time in excess of two minutes.

As they say - happy days.

That's not as bad as the Inland Revenue the last time I rang 53mins. Then the guy I spoke to said he would send a form didn't come. So went on Twitter and complained for the world to see and amazing they had it sort in a flash.

Try their Twitter account.

I was just about to say HMRC as well! DH has steam coming out of every orifice by the time they answer. Not good for a man with a heart condition! I think it's a deliberate ploy to force you onto the website.

Yes and katek and you have to google to find their website.......ooh the irony.

Penstemmon Wed 27-Jan-16 15:11:58

....but the HMRC website often does not have the answer you need so you phone up and they suggest the website that doesn't have the answer you need .....

Very occasionally I am told that I am eg 3rd in the queue. At least if you hear that you are 155 in the queue you know to give up.

I moved my electricity from Scottish Power because I never managed to speak to them. They don't answer the phone, their ring back service doesn't work and they don't respond very often to emails. I had one phone call and she said 'unless I hear from you I will close this complaint' (need a head banging icon). My problem was never resolved.

It's like that getting an appointment at GPS. By the time they( bl. . . .well ) answer all appointments have gone.
