So happy to be alive!

Two years ago I was backwards and forwards to the doctors with bloating and discharge/bleeding. I was fobbed off several times but eventually I actually said to the GP that I was afraid that I had Ovarian cancer.

I was eventually referred for tests and in February 2014 I had a 9cm x 6cm malignant tumour removed together with both ovaries, uterus and everything else down there.

Anyway, I'm still here. This is my second Christmas with my family since I was diagnosed with cancer. I'm actually cancer free at present, long may it last. I'm just so happy to be here.

Ladies, do not ignore vague symptoms such as bloating, constipation, loss of appetite, vague pains, passing urine more frequently. Happy Christmas to you all.

I too am so happy to be alive, after being told in April that my cancer was not curable, I then had an op then they told me there was no evidence of cancer, so I live for each day and I am just sooo happy to be here. We will have to start a club called the , 'Im still here club' or similar. life is great.

16 years tomorrow I had an op for Breast Cancer. Forget all about it most of the time until something like this thread reminds me. Well done to you all and continue to enjoy life, it's a great gift even though we don't always remember to be grateful.

Well said ann. 16 years ago last month I had a heart attack. Most of the time I don't think about it either. It's just there at the back of the mind,
Long live all of us !

I do think it's scary though, to realise how precarious life/health is

Such a lovely thread, so good to read of your happiness Sadiesnan, and to hear of all the others who are "still here".
I love the idea of an "I'm Still Here Club" - what a positive, joyful get-together that would be!
