Morning All. Wet and windy in our corner of Somerset. Voluntary work this morning then DGC overnight. Should all be fun. Hope your day is good.

Good morning Mick and everyone.
Still dark but dry and windy in Tynedale. I had a very disturbed night. First the dog wanted to go out, and then, at about 01:30 I heard some very loud bangs in quick succession. Probably fireworks, but I can't be sure. Therefore, didn't sleep well. Now I am back in bed hopefully I will catch up on lost sleep.

Its realy earlyand the sky is very grey rain is promised for late,but i did get my cementing done yesterday just one more day and it should be finished

I am spending the morning doing a visitor count in the library and I hope there are lots of them otherwise it will be very boring!

Very dull very grey here in Stockport with heavy rain forecast.DGD (17 in two weeks ) coming for lunch and to lighten my life for a few hours.

Breezy today but still relatively mild. More birdsong this morning especially the robins. All the swallows have finally gone - wait for all the winter migrants now.

Good morning, grey and dull but the rain we were promised did not materialise. It is half term holiday but Mummy has it covered so we are child free this week.

Good morning from a grey skied Colchester. Had my extra hour in bed today because DH has a cold so the night was punctuated with coughs and snores.
Supposed to be at opening of local Poppy Shop but it's been postponed until later as VIP was double booked. We have house viewers this afternoon so can't go now.
Seeing The Mousetrap at local theatre this evening.

Morning everyone
Grey and wet today - was raining overnight and when I got up, but I think it's stopped now. DH has decided not to play his usual Saturday morning round of golf, as it's just plain soggy and nasty.
And I've decided not to go to the monthly breakfast meeting with a bunch of friends, as I was up most of the night with a tummy bug - I don't think sitting down to a full English would be very sensible . Thankfully it seems to have calmed down now but, boy, did I feel ill in the wee small hours

Here in South Wales it isn't currently raining but everything is wet after overnight rain. Grandson wants us to "take him out somewhere" today but we are struggling to think of where. Where do you take a 6-y-o boy for a couple of hours on a wet day? Tomorrow he is going to spend the half-term week with his other grandparents. They live too far away to see him on a regular basis so half-term is "their time".
