I'm having my 10 and 8 year old granddaughters for half term and Halloween. They want to go trick or treating. My daughter does this in America with my other grandchildren but not sure if it's the done thing here. I'm thinking of going around to houses and knocking but not sure what reception I would get. In America there is no problem - the kids are ready with their bags and come home with lots of sweet treats (which my daughter gives out in rations). And also any cheap fun ideas I can bake or make would be grateful. Thank you.
