Rude bits

On another thread someone's friend uses Wiggy for her genitalia.
I grew up with no words for any part of my rude bits, they were never ever mentioned. Nowadays I say Fanny. What do the rest of you say?

Marelli Sun 20-Sept-15 20:26:13

I never have any reason to talk about mine, apricot. I suppose it I had to show it to the doctor, I don't think I'd call it my Wiggy, fanny or front bottom (my mother's description of it when I was small) grin. Maybe I'd just display it, and hope for the best! blush

Vagina would do for me!

Deedaa Sun 20-Sept-15 20:30:35

Well there's always the old faithful "Down Below" but that always makes it sound completely unmentionable!

Ana Sun 20-Sept-15 20:30:45

I have no 'rude bits'...hmm

AlieOxon Sun 20-Sept-15 20:33:09

Yes, why are they rude, when we all (including men) have some version of them!
PS wouldn't 'wiggy' be a merkin?

Indinana Sun 20-Sept-15 20:44:12

My DD calls it her fufu or her lady parts smile.

They are anatomical entities. Why not call them by their proper names?
Vagina
Penis
Scrotum
Testes
Ovaries
Uterus etc

jinglbellsfrocks Sun 20-Sept-15 21:07:10

fanny.

Vagina is the inside bit.

jinglbellsfrocks Sun 20-Sept-15 21:08:52

I 'ate the word 'scrotum'. And 'testes'. (what's wrong with 'balls'?) hmm

Ana Sun 20-Sept-15 21:14:42

Yes, some people insist that 'vagina' should be used when that's not the actual part you can see.

annsixty Sun 20-Sept-15 21:34:37

jbf it is rarely the outside bits that need naming , especially to the DR. it is the inside bits that are usually the problem.

M0nica Sun 20-Sept-15 21:40:57

I always describe them as genitals. Men have penises and balls, women have bladders and vaginas. I have never needed to get more detailed than that so haven't thought what words I would use, but they would be anatomically correct descriptions.

I loathe anything using the word 'lady' lady bits', 'lady matters'. For some reason I always think these phrases sound so unpleasantly coy but prurient.

Katek Sun 20-Sept-15 21:47:54

My dgs aged 2 has Mr Willy and Mr Scrotum!

Ana Sun 20-Sept-15 21:49:37

Men have bladders too, M0nica...grin

Galen Sun 20-Sept-15 21:50:52

Hmm men have bladders as well
Also prostate glands which can.cause frequency and urgency during the night!

Meat and two veg, the wife's best friend, the danglies... I remember the surgeon telling me that when I came round after an op I would find that "someone will have shoved a tube up your John Thomas"... Which was nice...

BlackeyedSusan Sun 20-Sept-15 22:41:36

At the Drs it is vulva, labia, anus, penis, foreskin...etc.. (before anyone wonders whether I am a hermaphrodite... I still have children young enough to ebe accompanied to the GP)
at home it is still willy and balls, foreskin and poo hole, and girl bits. I talk to dd using the proper names too, clitoris, vulva, labia, anus breast and areola, uterus, pubic bone, pelvis)

Marmight Sun 20-Sept-15 22:54:31

Undercarriage

BlackeyedSusan Sun 20-Sept-15 23:19:41

ahh yes.. it was called an undercarriage by the midwife at that point when it was all one fresh swollen bruise....tends to make me wince at the memory

Bellanonna Sun 20-Sept-15 23:24:12

hi the things people talk about.

harrigran Mon 21-Sept-15 00:10:59

Anatomical names, I didn't do years of training to talk like a three year old.

Anne58 Mon 21-Sept-15 07:44:01

If boys have a willy, why don't girls have a wilma?
