My grandson aged three has just been the victim of an unprovoked attack by another child in his playgroup, it has affected his eye and face, we don't yet know if there is any damage to the eye, but there could be scars.
My daughter says the playgroup was not able to tell her which child was involved because of confidentiality, but she knows as my grandson told her, she believes the child has problems which she puts down to bad parenting.
Things can happen quickly and my daughter doesnt hold the play group responsible, but it has left me feeling very disturbed, goverment emphasis has been on education, but perhaps if parents can no longer be relied on to teach a basic morality, old fashioned good manners and kindness then the government needs to add it as a requirement from an early age.
So cross, my poor dried up pots….
