DH and I are tarting up a couple of pieces of garden furniture for an elderly neighbour. She discussed it with DH even though I was there but I didn't think anything of it at the time. I stained some wooden furniture whilst DH sanded a metal arch/chair thingy and told her I'd be putting at least two coats on etc. When DH started painting the metal thingy he found the fumes got on his chest so I have taken over that too. Our neighbour has seen me doing the painting.
Yesterday she proceeded to have a long conversation with DH whilst I was painting a couple of feet away in which she spoke as if he'd done all the work himself, ever telling him what a good job he was doing.
I think I've either become invisible or I'm DH's double
