Youngest DGS, 4 months, has been breast fed on demand since he was born. He's also sometimes fed when DIL is becoming uncomfortable. Last night he was up every 1.5 hours (not for the first time) and all that will settle him is a feed. DIL seems to feel that if he cries then he must be hungry but I'm not convinced....he may just be thirsty. He's a big lad and has already almost doubled his birth weight. They are trying to introduce solids to see if that may help but he's not keen on what he's being offered-mashed potato, banana etc. I don't comment too much, not my baby, but I feel very sorry for them. They can't even doze during the day as other Dgs is only 2 and needs lots of time spent with him as well. DS ended up taking train to work instead of driving as he was so tired the other day and fell asleep! Anybody got any helpful suggestions?
Good Morning Thursday 30th July 2026

I told myself sharply to "put it down!", 'it' being the baby. Yes, that stage of frazzlement. I wrapped her tight in a shawl, put her on the floor in a bedroom, walked away and turned the radio up loud. Went to check ten minutes later and she was sound asleep.
