When I put my jacket/sweater on over my 3/4 sleeve tops the arms of the tops ride up.

I can, be using contortion hold onto my right sleeve, but can't manage with my left. Any ideas?

Any other little problems we can sort out for each other.

Sellotape your tops to your arms? Or staple them? grin. Sorry, I know the feeling, it is really frustrating, isn't it? If you can get your right sleeve done comfortably, can you reach up your left jacket sleeve with your right hand to tug the errant sleeve down? You need a little 'grab' tool to insert into your jacket sleeve and grab the 3/4 sleeve. Someone should make them!

Three quarter sleeves are the bane of my life - sometimes I've bought a top without realising, and although I have no trouble holding onto the ends when I put a coat or jacket on they often ride up afterwards.

The ones with cuffs are the worst as they make an unsightly bulge!

No help, I'm afraid, but I share your annoyance and frustration...

Have you ever come across those bracelet fastener holder things? They are quite long, and have a sort of peg at one end to grip your bracelet end so that you can do the fastening up one-handed.

This isn't the best page to link to, they come in all shapes and sizes but you get the idea. Fit the clasp to your sleeve before putting on your jacket, then pull down. Or use a peg on a stick.

NanKate

Don't laugh but I do the following .

Blouse on, elastic bands to hold the sleeve in place, cardi/jumper on and back scratcher up the sleeve and hook said elastic bands off.

Dopey idea, yes, works, yes for me grin

POGS grin

That is truly inspired.

Wow POGS that sounds just the ticket! I have one of those extending back scratchers, sure it would be perfect. grin

Thanks for these suggestions.

Pogs what a brilliant idea. We have a back scratcher so hey presto I will have a go. I did have a giggle. smile

Jane I will research that jewellery pincer thing which might help when I can't do up my bracelet.

What an ingenious lot you are. flowers

Don't like three quarter length sleeves - they are neither fish nor fowl; and as you say they are very impractical when you need to get a cardi on.

Glad to oblige, my level of technological expertise astounds even me at times. grin

I love 3/4 sleeves.
Still managing to get them on under a cardi.

POGS ....great solution

If I'm wearing full length sleeves I push them up and use a rubber band on each elbow to keep them in place and make them 3/4.

janerowena Wed 15-Apr-15 22:01:41

grin That's a really good idea, for both lengths! I hate it when long sleeves slip back down.

I used to have a back scratcher, I wonder where it went?

harrigran Wed 15-Apr-15 23:56:33

I am always pushing my sleeves up to elbows so 3/4 sleeves suit me fine. Can't say I am bothered by sleeves riding up.

Me too harrigran but perversely I hate 3/4 sleeves on jumpers and cardigans hmm
