Grey and wet here in north Leicestershire but, as I still feel poorly, I dont care! It's a day of sitting down drinking tea for me!

Good morning all, sorry to hear you are still feeling low kitty just keep warm! We have rain here, and yesterday when we visited the Museum to see one or two friends after a long absence, we learned one volunteer had died the day before, and another had retired. Age is catching up with all our friends, however, we were made really welcome, and all being well will go back to volunteering there when the next season starts. My daughter and son in law may pop in later today on their way home from Southampton after visiting their son. What a long post sorry about that! Enjoy your days.

Overcast and grey here with rain forecast. Got our sailing boat home yesterday without a hitch so DH is a happy bunny and will spend the day fussing over her.

I'm looking forward to doing the ironing and listening to radio four.

My elder daughter was 43 yesterday. Makes you feel old. Mind you at 43 I was training to be a mental health nurse.

I'm new to Gransnet so good morning everyone for the first time. Pretty overcast here in Essex and looks like staying so. Will be talking to my daughter in Cumbria later today - they really know about rain.

The rain seems to have cleared for the moment down here in Devon. Off out to lunch with a lot of friends, in Zeal Monachorum. Isn't that a superb place name?

Good morning all and welcome to daffydil. My little corner of Devon is bathed in warm sunshine this morning - which is really good because my Wonderful Man has taken the grandchildren out for a long walk so that I can get half an hour's peace. I do love them dearly but at twenty months and four and a half they're full of beans and I'm tired out after having them for so long. Happily their parents will be here to pick them up late this afternoon.
And yes, Zeal Monachorum is a lovely name. Are you dining at the Waie Inn Ariadne?

Good morning all! It's lovely and sunny here although it was very windy last night and still seems quite breezy.
I must 'stir my stumps' and get some beef in the slow cooker, and possibly nip to Waitrose.

Good afternoon everyone - a bit behind today as been busy planting my new roses in the rain. Mud all over the paths now. Venison casserole in the slow cooker, so shall now veg out as late night last night - out with some friends.
