Good morning from sunny Cheshire.

More sewing today.
If anyone can find the long black concert skirt I wore to our choir concert a week ago, please let me know.
It needs taking in at the waist as it too loose. I am sure though it didn't fall off on stage and that I wore it home.

How can these things just go missing in just over a week???

Morning Mick and All.

Woke up in our lovely holiday cottage in the New Forest to a lovely horsey face looking through our bedroom window. He belongs to the farm so we are allowed to feed him. We chopped up 2 big apples and DH fed him through the window. He is 30 years old and still in good condition.

Off to Lymington for coffee and a relaxed mosey about. So nice to be off duty from our busy life.

Hope you find your skirt Nellie this happens to us both almost daily. I find things I have lost in the most unexpected places. grin

Good morning from East Sussex. Warm and dry here. Back to normality today. Holiday washing all done , mountain of ironing waits and more unpacking to do. Bought so much Turkish Delight in Turkey will be eating it for years.
We had a horrid time in Santorini when cable car broke down and had to walk down 600 steps. All slippery and covered in Donkey poo. There were about 8000 tourists from cruise ships in all trying to get up or down the steps. Average age on our ship was mid 70's so a lot of distressed people. The temperature was in the 30c's and the steps in full sun. I did not think my husband would make the last 50 steps. Among our ship there were one heart attack, two broken arms, fractured ribs and a broken leg. Two people were stood on by donkeys and many of us had falls and bruises. Once the ship recognised there was a problem the staff were great but we were back to the ship by then.

Good morning all!

A bright sunny start here in North Leicestershire and the forecast is good for most of the week!

I was going to suggest nellie's skirt might 've in the fridge but I'll look under the pile of clothes on the chair in my bedroom - you never know what might be lurking there blush

Enjoy your days everyone sunshine

ninathenana Mon 14-Jul-14 08:25:51

Morning all.
If you need some help eating it Brenda I'll PM you my address grin

At last blue sky here in N.Kent. A quiet day for me.
Have a good one everybody.

ninathenana Mon 14-Jul-14 08:30:15

[smug] I cleared my chair pile last week kitty it was level with the back of the chair shock

Lona Mon 14-Jul-14 08:39:45

Morning all, it's sunny and fresh here and the bedding is already on the line. [also smug]

We had a lot of rain on Saturday night/Sunday morning, and a smallish dip in the road outside my house has become a crater, which is waiting to swallow someones' front wheel!
I've reported it and I'm now waiting for the fun and games to start!

kittylester Mon 14-Jul-14 08:43:37

Nina show off!! grin. Was nellie's skirt there?

annodomini Mon 14-Jul-14 09:21:17

As Lona says, although I don't have any laundry to put out. I thought I was the only one who had a chair pile. How refreshing to discover I'm not! Last night I excavated the bottom of my wardrobe and found the most remarkable number of hangers! Can't imagine how they got there. blush

Gagagran Mon 14-Jul-14 09:30:40

Nellie I've just had a look in my wardrobe and found two long black choir concert skirts. I thought I only had one so maybe yours has found it's way to the south coast? Or has mine morphed? confused

Oldgreymare Mon 14-Jul-14 10:00:37

I suffer from piles too Kitty.... smile
One pile on dirty linen basket (clean enough to be worn again) another pile on similar basket which holds sandal collection, another pile on blanket box at end of bed.....
Is that a record?
Brenda WOW waiting to hear my friends' version (she has asthma and weak ankles!!!! sad)
Lovely day here... finishing bathrooms then setting to to make blackcurrant ripple ice-cream.
So far have frozen some, jammed some, jellied some, crumbled some AND had an attempt at making Cassis!!!!! Phew!
What some people will do to avoid the football

Nelliemoser Mon 14-Jul-14 10:11:57

Thanks for your suggestions you lovely lot. grin

Skirt has been hiding in a bag under the piano stool. My sewingdining room is in chaos right now. The ironing board is up in there! The sewing machine and the laptop are on the table.

Two skirts need taking in at the waist. The material I am using to adapt a cardigan into something looking roughly Edwardian is on top of the piano. Then there are all the J cloth prototypes for collars, cuffs and belts, lying on the floor.
I am not a tidy worker but I am having fun.

Glorious day - just back from a walk on the downs with the dog.

Back to the drawing board with my diet as I have put on 1lb since yesterday!! Good grief. I had extra one handful of seeds and nuts as a snack and a wafer thin of the end of some bread that I had just made no butter etc just to taste it so I guess the tiny bit of bread which you could see through and about 2"x3" did it.Grrrr.

So today is
porridge with fresh orange juice
vegetable soup(I made enough for 2 days) and no bread. apple
sticky chilli chicken and prawns with vietnamese rice salad, banana
Let's hope that does the trick
