Well that was an amazing storm last night. Thunder and lightning overhead for about half an hour at 10 pm and a real cloudburst that meant we couldn't hear each other speak in the same room...
We had planted loads of stuff out yesterday, but it seems to be OK if a bit floppy!

Good morning all!

It is raining here in North Leicestershire and the forecast is for more showers all day!

We have nothing special planned for today except - possibly - ironing!

Enjoy your days everyone sunshine

Good morning all, I shall be joining you with the ironing kitty, had planned to garden, but we had heavy rain in the night, and I think it might be a little wet and heavy going out there. Collecting my new glasses today, hope these work, I have had long-distance ones before, but they have never seemed to make a difference. I am having trouble focussing on the jack in bowls now, so obviously need something, because it is important I can see what I am aiming at, not that it makes much difference! Enjoy your days.

Good morning all. I'm so pleased to see the morning so that we can get too and rid ourselves of the scratching in the attic all night long.

Morning Mick and everyone. Rain overnight, more forecast, hope it holds off till after the school run walk because the Reception playground floods dreadfully and there's no way round it. Wellies, methinks.

Good Morning everyone. The sun is out again in SE Hampshire after overnight rain which my sweet peas loved. I swear they've grown 6 inches since last night!

I am intrigued Elizabeth about the scratching in your attic. What is doing it? Really hope it's not rats. I'd have to vacate if it was. I cannot bear them. sunshine

Morn in' All. Another baking hot sunny day in deepest Norfolk. I really should be digging up some turf to re-seed with good stuff before it gets too hot. Much nicer just to sit here in the shade under the walnut tree listening to the swifts screaming overhead. It's a hard life! sunshine

(Have you got restless starling nesting in you attic Elizabeth? They get noisy when the nest is getting cramped)

Very warm here in MM but showers on and off I expect - no hope of golf today - no-one to play with friends on holiday!! Bloody cheek of it.

ninathenana Tue 20-May-14 09:20:54

Morning all.

Not sure what it's going to do here in N. Kent. Cloudy and quiet breezy at the moment. Forecast says were going to miss the showers. No rain here last night.

Lona Tue 20-May-14 09:30:54

Good morning, it's dull and showery here in Cheshire, and a lot cooler too.
I think the ironing is a must today for me too.
That's the trouble with hot weather, you seem to wear twice as many clothes!

annodomini Tue 20-May-14 09:35:22

Muggy and feels like thunder, Lona!

Lona Tue 20-May-14 09:44:47

sunshine now anno hmm It's going to be one of those days!

annodomini Tue 20-May-14 10:04:12

A glimmer coming through the trees, Lona. I have one of my 'thunder-heads' coming on.

Brendawymms Tue 20-May-14 10:17:58

Grey cloud and very windy in East Sussex. The show ground is coming together, lots of tents up and large farming equipment beginning to arrive. The metal roads have been laid as well. I do hope its dry on Saturday.

Galen Tue 20-May-14 10:47:48

Cloudy with a bit of a breeze

Elizabeth1 Thu 22-May-14 20:43:58

It better not be rats Gagagran or I will have to vacate my braw wee hoosie. The noise has since gone away cause my DH has gone into the attic and scared the blighters away.

Elizabeth1 Thu 22-May-14 20:46:47

Could have been wee birdies NfkDumpling thanks for this.Whatever it was it's gone away now whew.
