We don't think it went near Persie's mouth - uugghh!

Kiwi is really thrilled when he brings a present home and happy for us to pick them up. Persie, though was reluctant to give it up as she likes cuddly toys!

Quick, go to the shops and buy a cuddly furry mouse for Persie. Pet shots probably stock them

My DGD won't touch cuddly toys, prefers planes, tractors, trains etc

Don't talk to me about mice!!! We just opened the very long under-seating storage areas in our music room to retrieve the bedding and turn the room into a bedroom for 5 people for the weekend - and found a mouse's nest! Everything has had to come out and needs cleaning, fumigating etc. Where are we going to put these 5 people? - a very good question!

Poor OH is doing it alone mostly as I am trying to avoid the mouse poo and urine whilst cooking for everyone!

It is quite impossible to imagine how the mice got in as the space has wall meeting concrete floor and there are no gaps at all. Sigh.

More people arriving tomorrow as well!

Cats bring them in though, DS' s cat kindly left him just some of the innards to clear up before DGDS got hold of it.

It really is a mystery as there is a wall meeting a concrete floor under these storage seats. The wooden tops are very heavy and close down very firmly, so I cannot see how they would have got in through there. But when they next visit they will find a few traps and a lot of mouse poison.

We worked very hard to get rid of it all and to clear out all the pooed-on stuff; and family are about to go to bed in relative comfort. We hope.
