Yes, my oldest GC loves it. I have to watch him play[he won't give me a go] and he loves all the walkthrough videos on YouTube [particularly Etho's Lab.]Etho drones on [American] it's quite relaxing to listen to.

My 9-year-old GS plays with a friend on Skype. It's rather disconcerting to hear him chatting away, seemingly to himself, in the computer room.

You know about the fans in my family, anno Four children from five to fourteen loving it, and the eldest's teacher definitely approves. My 14 year old grandson goes to the annual Minecraft conventions with his dad - just waiting to hear where this year's will be.

Joseph aka StampieCat puts a daily YouTube clip out to show what can be done on Minecraft. He is visiting the UK at the moment. Apparently, he has more followers than One Direction and is set to become a multi-millionaire. He was on Breakfast TV on BBC1 yesterday morning. It will be on their website and/or iPlayer.

I have to be on the ball a bit faster - my son tells me they have tickets for the Ricoh Arena, Coventry, in April.

My grandson loves playing Minecraft, he & his friend are obsessed with it. My DGS has it on a kindle & on video, & I will play it none stop given half a chance.

Stampie visiting the UK? He is British! And very annoying to boot. I sometimes have to listen to his stuff on YouTube with DGS1. Much prefer the Texan drone of Etho.Stampies' voice sounds just like Malcolm Boyden on Radio Oxford, and believe me, there is no more annoying voice than that. We race to the radio to turn it off as soon as he comes on.

That's me assuming he was from the USA, roses. My son met him in Hollywood, so I thought that's where he's from. Yes, once you've listened to one, that's more than enough!

Oh, that's fab, Whethertomorrow! My GS loves Minecraft too, and although I don't really understand it all, I do love to hear him talking about it and explaining it to me. I try to take an interest in whatever interests him.

Another Minecraft family here, it started many years ago with the eldest GS, now the five year olds.

Yes, all four of our children, now our 10 year old grandson, however Fortnite is the favoured game for both him and our daughters now!

Gds (8) is a fan, but his screen time is strictly limited, thank goodness. I did once watch while he was absorbed in it - he tried to explain but I couldn’t make head or tail of it. (I dare say partly because I wasn’t really interested!)

So no danger of an addiction here - I’ll stick to my knitting, thanks!
