Maybe when you shouldn't...
My daughter rang this morning and fully confirmed my theory that two year olds are much underestimated. They are merely small, vocally challenged and not yet in possession of the wisdom that comes with age, but they are just as intelligent as they will ever be.
Yesterday DGC2 was being clingy and DS was desperate to go to the loo for a little 'me' time. She asked SiL to stop her (DGC2) from banging on the bathroom door demanding to be allowed in. All was quiet and peaceful until she heard a scratch-scratching outside, and DGC2 burst triumphantly into the locked room, much to everyone's shock.
The chocolate-spread-smeared knife used to facilitate the breaking and entering was discovered outside on the stairs.
As far as everyone is aware, the small criminal had never before seen anyone use a knife to effect a break-in. M'Lud. Law student Mummy now very worried.
