Having agreed to have a smart meter installed, the engineer couldn't use my step ladder (health and safety) so brought in his own from the van. Only allowed to climb 3 steps on the step ladder (health and safety) which means he couldn't reach the meter
. Said he would have to come back with a ladder and another engineer to hold the ladder. Yesterday two (taller) different engineers arrived with ladder, said they probably could have done it off the step ladder! Letter from EDF said the job would take approximately 2 hours. Engineers were here for 1 hour, took approx. 30 minutes putting in meter the rest of the time drinking coffee and chatting. Is it any wonder electricity is so expensive! (Must say the engineers with very nice and chatty).

What medical conditions seem more common now than when you were growing up?

) I am having to use an electric mini oven and that surprised me by how little power it does use. I have yet to try the washing machine or tumble dryer.
We had 3 different calls but not one of them had a clue had to fix the problem.
