I am registered with the TPS, but I became so fed up with unwanted calls that I bought new telephones with Caller ID. The phones are worth every penny. When I see the 'International Unavailable' or 'unavailable' message flashing, I don't bother to answer the phone - when my answering machine cuts in, the call is pretty much always disconnected at their end. 
Where I was on holiday there was no mobile signal or internet, when I got back in range of a transmitter all my missed calls were from phone pests
