Congratulations goose I'm sure they will manage, my sister had about the same gap between her two girls and was a single parent, it's surprising how she coped and although it will be cramped, it sounds as if your daughter will have plenty of support.

I am sure they will manage goose but it is not ideal when living-in. Perhaps they could rent their own place if buying is not an option, but on the other hand having grandparents to help is useful. It happened in our family and they coped just fine.

I can understand your feelings goose, my two are the same age for two weeks every year!
We were very hard up but we managed, although for me, it was exhausting having to breast feed one while the other couldn't walk and was clinging to my leg and screaming!

Congratulations Goose, my own first two daughters were born just 13 months apart and I lived to tell the tale! There are pros and cons with every age gap - they will be fine - enjoy

Congratulations goose1964 ...I know you've mixed feelings, but they will find a way of managing. Where there is a will ...there is a way!! Hopefully, her MiL will be able to give a lot of actual support as they are living in her home.

Hard work Goose but lovely - congratulations. I had 3 under three and a half and don't remember much about it although it can't have been too bad as we had another 2, sensibly spaced though!!

There are only 13 months, to the day, between my first 2, you think you can`t cope, but you always do. Best wishes to them, bet you they`ll be fine.

As long as they have the support of all the grandparents, they will be fine. My daughter had three 'pairs' - 26 months apart, 16 months apart and then 14 months apart. Thankfully, she was sterilised after the sixth entailed an emergency c-section. There was a 15-year spread from oldest to youngest.
Her sister slotted in four in the gaps - there were some periods when I had grandchildren at the rate of one a year.
