It's not just feminist books on the full list, things are being removed for all sorts of categories.
Given that we had to do things like Othello and Hamlet, Tess & Far from the Madding Crowd, as set books for exams when I was 13-15, it seems a bit odd to remove books with "adult sexual themes" in a secondary school library.
Particularly as we live in a world where primary-age kids can view heavy porn on their mobiles.
The logical conclusion is that until children are 16 , we offer them Enid Blyton and Ladybird book-type fare.
How does that help them learn about the world & themselves?
