Embroidery stands

Apologies to begin with as I’m not quite sure that what I am looking for exists!

I am new to embroidery. I have completed numerous cross stitch kits in the past - mainly for new babies but they have stopped arriving.
Now I am older I am finding my hands ache more these days so wanted to try a stand. I have got a kit for a round hoop and also a square frame. Is it possible to buy a stand that will hold both shapes? Preferably one which I can use sitting on the sofa.
Once upon a time I could have tried looking in a craft shop but they seem to have disappeared.

Thanks

I used to use a stand similar to this, adjustable for hoops and frames.

You can buy embroidery stands from Crafty Imaginations online. They are by Nurge.

I use an Elbesse table clamp. They cost around £25-£30.

My favourite YouTube embroiderer, Sarah Homfray demonstrates here:

Thank you for the suggestions. Has anyone used a stand for using while sitting on the sofa? Not sure how ‘sturdy’ they would be.

I have a stand like the one in the link posted by jusnoneed, and used it while sitting on the sofa.

I have decided on the Nurge which I think will allow me to buy an accessory if I decide I want to use a square frame in the future.

Thanks for the responses. Now to start practising some stitches. The Sarah Homfray website looks interesting. 🪡

Cressy I see that if you use the code CRAFTY10 you can get 10% off your first order if you spend over £10.

The best ones, IMHO, are Lowery.

But they are not cheap!

I use a seat clamp -has a flat wooden paddle that slips under one side of your bottom either on an upright dining chair or on the sofa - works well. Similar to this -there are others though.

I wanted to try lace making, and a friend told me about her neighbour selling, so I said yes. I ended up with a car full, which I have split and sold much of it on, but one of the items was a stand. I could not work it out, but my buyer was delighted and called it an embroidery/weaving stand, so perhaps it is the same thing as a lace making too?
