I have a stand like the one in the link posted by jusnoneed, and used it while sitting on the sofa.

Thank you for the suggestions. Has anyone used a stand for using while sitting on the sofa? Not sure how ‘sturdy’ they would be.

I use an Elbesse table clamp. They cost around £25-£30.
