False Prophet, Netflix

I watched it a while ago and found it really disturbing, especially the extent to which young girls were brainwashed into believing it was normal to be married and sexually active, as young as, in some cases, ten. Equally disturbing was the older womens’ acceptance of this exploitative behaviour by their husbands and other male relatives. The part played by the couple making the documentary was pivotal in exposing the true nature of the cult, and encouraging the women involved to wake up and speak out.
