I heard Sam Battle being likened to a bee in a matchbox today. That sums up his buzzy energy perfectly I think.
The song is about being liberated from a dull, boring job.

No expectations here because of the politics, but I hope he does well.

I love it. I think it's catchy too and I thought he had quite an appealing personality.

I love Eurovision but I’m boycotting it this year, too. Which saddens me.

I think it’s very catchy, but having never watched Eurovision, I won’t start now.

I saw an interview with this young man on the television , this morning. The interviewer said he said he was charismatic. I thought he was downright bizarre. Never stopped talking or moving. I think the song is awful. Nil pointe again probably.

DD used to host a family Eurovision party which was always great fun but now the DGCs have all moved away we just message each other.
Not the same but I expect there will be the usual family sweepstake which I never win 😂

He lived and worked in Germany if that makes any difference, and the contest is in German speaking Vienna. But what do I know again!?

When I saw him explaining the eins, zwie, drie the audience were in raptures. 🤷‍♀️

I remember when Katie Boyle presented the Eurovision. We watched it then. And when the inimitable Terry Wogan presented it. After that we stopped watching.

No idea who or what our song or singer is, I have very little interest in it No idea why Australia and Israel are in EUROvision that seems totally bizarre to me. The whole thing is just screamy and bonkers and to me it should be entitled ‘ ‘Who can be the weirdest’

I miss Terry as well. Graham Norton doesn't do a bad job but he'll never match Terry.

I had a friend who would throw a party every year. She'd dress up in the host country's national dress and prepare food from that country as well

She was quite obsessed. Sadly she died a couple of years ago so now we shall watch in a more sedate fashion.

I quite enjoy Eurovision, simply for the comic value, and I truly miss Sir Tel as our presenter. He had me in stitches.
