Annoying celebs

I used to watch Susan Calman travelling around the UK in her camper van, Helen. Watching it now is becoming challenging as I find her so annoying, constant hysterical shrieks of deafening laughter or cackles at nothing, the people she interviews sometimes almost recoil in surprise..i don't know if she has a hearing problem but she shouts and talks so loud I constantly turn her down. She is exhausting.

Anyone seen Cat Deeley on This Morning? Her false, over the top cackling is SO irritating.

How about Noel Fielding?
Do people like him?
He makes me a bit unsettled for sone reason.

I don't like Alison Hammond either.

I honestly can’t stand that woman!

Cardamom Sun 10-May-26 10:24:29

That Naga Munchetti woman..can't stand her

Nor me. Irrespective of her battles on behalf of women, I intensely dislike her nasal speech delivery.

I agree with many of these names (not David Attenborough though as he definitely IS a National Treasure, imo). Miriam Margolyes I like too, minus the talk of taboo bodily functions. A name I’ll add to the list of annoying people is Sara Cox - the fake hilarity irritates me enormously. I think for me, I do consider that the people I find annoying are not necessarily “disliked” because I don’t actually know them, but they drive me bonkers and they seem to be ubiquitous. They talk too much with their hammed up accents and often the chatter is about nothing of consequence (on BBC Radio 2 for instance). Claudia Winkelman - get that blasted fringe cut, you look absolutely ridiculous. You have to tilt your head back to see anything! Yes, your hair is gorgeously black and impossibly shiny, but you don’t need that long fringe to add to the lushness.

that Naga Munchetty woman
Would you feel differently if you were aware that she constantly battles on behalf of women with not only endometriosis but all health problems involving women.

All those defending Paul McCartney, have you met him and worked with him? I have.

I’d have thought being able to read music is pretty basic if you claim to be a musician. It’s not difficult, so why did he refuse to learn?

Having a lot of money is no indication of intelligence or knowledge. He thinks it is, though.

BlueBelle Sun 10-May-26 07:55:07

Funny how different we see people I like Naga Munchetty I see a strong knowledgable woman who has had some bad health problems I used to really really dislike Carol Vordeman
until I realised she was such a Reform hater so now I like her !!!

I find Alan Carr very very annoying although he was much better in The Traitors I do not like Stephen Fry I don’t know why! Vanessa Feltz Yuk
for some completely unknown reason I don’t like Richard Osborne nor Alexander Armstrong can’t stand piers Morgan or Jeremy Clarkson …..misogynists
I do like Miriam.Margoles ( minus the farts) Claudia Winkleman and I don’t mind Davina at all
Can’t stand Jonathon Ross
There’s plenty more will come to me

Mamie Sun 10-May-26 07:40:51

As far as most "celebs" are concerned I think the thread title is an appropriate tautology. 😂

seasider Sun 10-May-26 07:30:36

Paddy Mcguiness isn’t from Yorkshire . I think he is from Bolton .

Agreed. I was watching Tim Minchin who wrote the very successful musical Matilda, amongst other things. He said he can't read music.

merlotgran Sat 09-May-26 23:34:08

I don’t get why some people think that playing by ear or memory is inferior to being able to read music.
I was taught to read music at the same time I was taught to read by my music teacher mother.
Can I play the the piano? Yes but not very well.
My late father in law was a self taught pianist. He couldn’t read a note. If somebody asked him to play in a higher key he’d shunt the piano stool a little to the right. 😂
My mother envied his ability to knock out a tune anytime, anywhere and they played brilliantly together at family gatherings.
There’s talent and there’s talent.

Kate1949 Sat 09-May-26 23:24:30

Well he's done ok not being able to read music! 🎶

Why on earth would you presume Paul McCartney an ignoramus I think his achievements contradict that statement.
He cones over as very grounded and pleasant.

He was the one Beatle I loved 🙂

He could have gone to university but chose music, thank goodness.

Whilst I am thinking about it,
Denise Welch
Stacy Solomon
Claudia Winkleman
Alison Hammond, imagine her and Susan Calman doing a show together!
Paddy McGuiness
Robert Preston but i do think he talk the way he does as he must have a stutter but regardless can’t abide him.
Brian Cox i find creepy, my friend adores him though
I read Shelia Hancox book The Two of Us and was taken back at what a very high opinion of herself she has, referring to her beauty and lovely legs, really, think she talks a load of rubbish with her leftist views, she would not last a week without her wealth, another champagne socialist like Emma Thomson

Must be quite difficult going through life judging people you don’t know.

Why is Paul McCartney an ignoramus?

I agree with most of the above, but (I'll get jumped on for this) I don't like David Attenborough 🫣, I find him a bit creepy.

Me too, never liked him. I know we, re not allowed to dislike him since he's now declared a national treasure but there's something off about him.

There is not.

That says much about you though.
🤔

Paul McCartney, such an ignoramus

An ignoramus with an IQ of 137.

And a net worth of over £1 billion!

😂

Perhaps Grandma70s is worth more?

Some people play(ed) by ear, like Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Elvis, all the Beatles and Hans Zimmer - two Academy Awards, a BAFTA Award, three Golden Globe Awards, and five Grammy Awards as well as nominations for seven Emmy Awards. Zimmer was also named one of the Top 100 Living Geniuses!

They didn't do too badly, did they. 😁

I used to like Stephen Mulhern but he's had some work done and his face resembles a Madame Tussard figure.

It's mainly women who irritate me.

Oh and Dermot O'Leary. He's turned into a crashing bore.

Knitter43 Sat 09-May-26 21:27:21

I'd like to add Jamie Oliver, Helen Skelton, Alan Titchmarsh and Andi Oliver to all those already listed. How do they get their jobs? All seem to be too full of themselves.

ClicketyClick Sat 09-May-26 19:43:04

Most of those already mentioned and Amanda Holden who can't keep her clothes on.
Jimmy Carr for his laugh which sounds so fake.
Vicky Pattison who just comes across as fake.
Gordon Ramsey. An arrogant foul mouth.
