I have read a couple of articles now saying that Olivia Frances who plays Jodie is being written out of Corrie. It says disputes with her behind the scenes are irreversible.

What a change to see Frankie out with his mum. The Rovers must pay their staff well, as Lauren always seems to have new clothes, hair and make up nicely done.

Betsy’s dark hair doesn’t suit her, or is it just that we aren’t used to it?

Bit of a dull one last night I wish they d get on with the Gary / Sarah storyline it’s boring, I also thought the Christina story poor (sorry) and Mary was very annoying and unconvincing shouting across the group as she did.

Idris is a rubbish villain - they never have convincing bad guys anymore. That man in bar is a good example of why men shouldn't dye their hair.

I agree with Calendargirl that Sally looks frumpy now. When she was first on Corrie, my son used to say that he fancied her, but that was a long time ago.

Poor old George isn’t very lucky in his choice of women.

Eileen turned out to be a proper harridan, and now Christina has ‘issues’.

I suppose when she first came in to the Street, as Daisy’s mum, (remember Daisy?), she wasn’t a nice person, seemed to be fleecing everyone she came across. She and Jenny (remember her?) hated each other.

I was 19 when Neighbours mania took off and everyone from schoolchildren to elderly people watched it. As a student in 1988, I can tell you, the television room was standing room only and people who had televisions often had other people watching Neighbours with them. It was bigger than Eastenders for a time and remained popular into the noughties.

I can't picture Daisy.

Daisy worked in the Rovers with Jenny and was one of Daniel’s girlfriends.

Daisy was Jenny's stepdaughter (I think) She was really pretty and wore lovely clothes. She was one of Bertie's many mums. She was brilliant in the stalking storyline.

It was Daisy’s stalker that led to Ryan being acid attacked.

Surely Kit, bent copper that he is, won't be thinking of ways to let Sarah off the hook.
I much prefer the present storylines of Chris's shopping addiction and Joseph's poor school report. That mirrors real life not the murderers and conmen around every corner.

In theory Kit should be out the cop shop door and Sarah locked up there but he will have some devious plan to show she was innocent.

Not surprised Joseph’s school report was poor, living in that household.

Imagine trying to do your homework with the quads racing around, nowhere to go to escape into a quiet corner.

The Cassie storyline is ridiculous. And why was Tracy flirting with Ross, he's not attractive.

Read today about a story line which is supposed to,start tonight!!! Obviously I won’t say what it is. However, if the story is really going along the lines as stated I think it is just too much, even for Corrie. In fact it is totally unsuitable for a soap and a family programme.

I will be watching Corrie as well as the football tonight. It is the only time I would have preferred 30 minutes.

I thought Betsy did her best bit of acting ever with her portrayal of a teenager having suffered a stroke.

But as for the reasons behind it, (which I too had read about in spoilers), I really don’t think it’s necessary.

Am sure it’s to raise awareness (yet again) of unsavoury ‘stuff’ that goes on nowadays, but Dylan and Betsy’s relatively ‘new’ relationship (I thought she was still moping after Mason), doesn’t need issues like this coming up.

If the writers really want to include such topics, make them between Steve and Cassie say, or Dev and Bernie, not the younger cast members.

As for Tracey falling into bed with Ross and his wig….words fail me!

I don’t know what to think about the Dylan/Betsy storyline. I gather that choking during sex is something that has passed from porn into mainstream activity, and it’s young people who are affected by what they see in porn, so maybe that’s why those characteristics were chosen.

If it shows the dangers and makes people think then maybe it’s a good thing, but it’s a very personal area to be covering in a soap. Ena Sharples would be horrified!

Also, do young people watch Corrie these days? When there were three channels and one tv per household they did, but these days I’d be surprised. Maybe the writers hope to attract more youngsters by bringing in ‘modern’ themes? The risk is that they’ll put off older viewers though.

After I read about what was going to happen I was unsure about watching. I did though and I do feel disturbed by it.

Will Grammy Dev step in with the school fees for Joseph I wonder.
