Scotlands Christmas home of the year 2024

To get us into the Christmas spirit (and to encourage me to get my Christmas tree out of the loft for the first time in years) this is on tonight at 8 on BBC Scotland but will be on iplayer afterwards for those of us outside of Scotland. Can’t wait. Love this programme!

Apart from the very blingy one I thought this years entries were lovely.The one I wanted to win didn’t; I’d have to do a spoiler alert to explain why!

I also realised, after I’d watched it on catchup, that there’s a new series of Wales Home of the Year. I’d thought there wasn’t going to be another series as I kept googling it and nothing came up, so I’m happily watching the whole series now!

"Conspicuous consumerism" was DH's comment. OTT decorations and no indication anywhere of what Christmas is really about (maybe that was outside the remit).

Having said that, the house I liked best won. The decorations were lovely although I felt they sometimes clashed with the wallpaper!

Always find it interesting to see what other people's homes are like!
