RIP, Kris Kristofferson

I went to see him at The Free Trade Hall in Manchester in the 70s
He was amazing and I was smitten. I do remember that he kept on bringing "this woman" on to sing with him. I was well miffed. Found out later it was the wonderful Rita Coolidge. Not sure if they were married at the time. He was brilliant as a song writer and performer. Loved his "Silver Tongued Devil". I was shocked to realise his age as he'll always be that age when I first saw him.

Oh I so agree with you Bridie22 I had a crush for years ,and such a beautiful voice.

I have followed Kris ever since seeing him in A Star is Born when it first came out. After that I was lucky enough to see him perform at Birmingham Hippodrome with Rita Coolidge. Such a talented good looking man.

Just watched a lovely video of him and Sinead O’Connor singing together “Help me make it through the night”.

I'd have loved to have seen/heard him perform live.
