Another one gone. Until you see their age, you just don’t realise how old the actors/actresses from our youth are.

I still think of him looking just like that picture.

I always enjoyed watching dramas he was in. A very versatile actor I agree Callistemon21 RIP Michael Jayston.

Oh, I liked him. RIP Michael.

He was one of those actors that I saw quite frequently in film and TV but couldn't quite remember his name. I think he played Raquel's Dad in Only Fools and Horses.

He was also in A Bit of a Do, if anybody remembers that, as the well-meaning but bumbling Nevill Badger.
I agree with Calendergirl about all those people from our youth - they've suddenly got old and are dying.
RIP.

i thought he was excellent starring in the film, nicholas and alexandra.

No mention of his death on the BBC. Should somebody say something to them?

One of those versatile actors whose face you instantly recognise as he’s been in so many different productions, but whose name you might not instantly remember.

He was a very good looking man (imo)

He was the very best Mr Rochester back in the (70's?)

And "young Peter Guillam" in the original Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. Suave and good looking.
What a brilliant TV series that was. I enjoy it every time I watch it.

Very true CalenderGirl and Vintage 1950. I'm going to get a recording made of " blimey... I had no idea he / she was that OLD"....... to save my saying it umpty times per month.
