Yes I did that and have just finished series one. I remembered most of the story but had completely forgotten the cliffhanger ending.

Apparently, Mark Bonnar is going to be in series 2, a love interest for Lesley Manville.

Let’s hope he’s a good substitute for Sean.

Not long now, 9pm BBC 1. Looking forward to it, glad I had time to rewatch Season one cos I'd forgotten a lot.

Enjoying this, but missing the Sean Bean character. Doesn't look as if Helen Hunt is back, either.

Have now watched the first 4 episodes, and am not enjoying it as much as season 1. It’s become just a bit of a soap opera, fitting from scene to scene - one minute they are in England, the next the desert, then France , then Germany. So many improbable scenarios, wobbly CGI sets and airfix model planes. I think the Germans had more than 1 tank in the desert. Still we’ve had a good laugh at some of it.
