poshpaws Gregory’s Girl is one of my all time greats.
It captures 1980s secondary school perfectly. I was a bit younger than the actors it.
The bit where Gregory is running in front of his Dad’s car always made my mom laugh as he reminded her of me (no common sense and ridiculous).
I can’t remember who suggested Singin’ in the Rain; that’s another of my top five. Donald O’Connor is a genius

I cried nearly all the way through it! (it is a good film though)
