So, fellow fans, what do we think of the lineup? A very mixed bunch, personally only know of five, I’m sure we will soon have our favourites. Can’t wait for the glitz and glamour to brighten the long dark nights looming?

Josianne Sun 10-Oct-21 18:52:25

I've just shot through it. My favourites are Rose, AJ and Rhys. There's a few who could go in my opinion,
before it gets really exciting, but I guess the BBC needs to string the weeks out.

Glad I missed Mollygo's post. I'd be furious too.

Mollygo Sun 10-Oct-21 18:57:07

I’ve already apologised.
My post has been deleted.
If you RTWT, kissngate’s post has the full result which she posted before mine and which I didn’t give and which remains on the thread.

You're making it worse. Really, I would counsel you to stop posting in this way.

You posted the spoiler, nobody else.

Mollygo Sun 10-Oct-21 19:10:02

I’ll take your advice Alegrias1 and make this my final post this week. I’ll look out for the ‘public vote’ next week instead.

rafichagran Sun 10-Oct-21 19:12:00

Mollygo I too look at the strickly spoiler and know the outcome, but I would not dream of posting it on this thread and ruining it for others.
I will give you the benefit of the dought, I dont think you thought before posting, but you know now.

Looks like Claudia forgot to put on a skirt over her Spanx!!!

TillyTrotter Sun 10-Oct-21 19:25:57

Claude must have a whole rail of slightly odd clothes for future shows. ?

And the singer is in his pyjamas.

Pittcity Sun 10-Oct-21 19:34:49

The singer's wearing one of her rejects!?

Sparklefizz Sun 10-Oct-21 20:04:07

I thought Katie's dancing was much better than Judi's. Anyone else? Clearly I know nothing as the judges thought otherwise.

lavenderzen Sun 10-Oct-21 20:05:16

Sorry to see Katie go. Seemed like the wrong result to me, but I always think that when it's the dance off. Ah well, roll on next week.

Pittcity Sun 10-Oct-21 20:09:48

Seems that Anton doesn't want to be the one making the decision......

Casdon Sun 10-Oct-21 20:10:06

I don’t know what it is exactly, but Katie has seemed a bit lacklustre when she dances from the beginning to me, so I thought it was the right decision.

Grannynannywanny Sun 10-Oct-21 20:11:17

I agree Sparklefizz. I was surprised to see Judi survive the dance off.

Sweetpeasue Sun 10-Oct-21 20:16:58

I think it was quite a close call. I preferred Judy's performance this time but thought Katie's other routines showed she was better dancer. It just seemed to me Katie's dance was more of a sequence of staged movements but as I said, very close.

Dinahmo Sun 10-Oct-21 20:34:03

Did anyone else notice Claudia refer to Dave Arch as her future husband this evening? My DH thought she was serious - I wasn't in the room but when he told me I thought it was one of strange jokes that sort of misfired.

Calendargirl Sun 10-Oct-21 20:37:51

Claudia is always joking about how she fancies Dave Arch, I agree it sounded a bit odd though, wonder what her DH thought?

hmm

But I suppose he’s used to her rather zany humour.

Grandmabatty Sun 10-Oct-21 21:05:48

I think Judi flatters to deceive. She has so much character that it masks the lack of dance content. There was a great deal of non dance faffing about. However Katie seems to lack something. And there wasn't much chemistry between her and gorka

dolphindaisy Sun 10-Oct-21 21:24:14

Has anyone noticed how Shirley often contradicts Anton? She did it tonight when Anton mentioned a mistake in the dance off and she said she didn't see a mistake, I think Anton was referring to the mix up with the braces.

gillgran Sun 10-Oct-21 23:15:03

I've just watched the Strictly results show on catch-up.
I spotted the "don't look at the "Strictly, Yay" thread if you don't want to see the result early"!! So the dance-off & judges votes was still all new to me.
I love the show, but don't like the voting off bit, especially in these early weeks when the public tend to vote for their personality-favourite, rather than for the dancing.

Looking forward to next week.

Josianne Mon 11-Oct-21 07:09:34

Sometimes in the voting off bit I've noticed they leave the more robust characters like Dan close to the end as they can handle the tension better. Although she is young, Tilly held her nerve well too.

honeyrose Mon 11-Oct-21 09:18:43

I thought that Dan Walker looked exhausted on Saturday night - maybe his make-up didn’t help. Why can’t celebrities be given time off from their usual work - BBC Breakfast in his case - to practise? Surely it’s too much to be doing both Strictly and their usual stuff? It’s only for a few weeks after all! I’m not keen on the sob stories of contestants either - can’t these be left out? Feels inappropriate somehow, sad as these stories undoubtedly are.

Josianne Mon 11-Oct-21 09:21:45

Yes, I agree about Dan Honeyrose. He look resigned to his fate! Lucky escape
