So, fellow fans, what do we think of the lineup? A very mixed bunch, personally only know of five, I’m sure we will soon have our favourites. Can’t wait for the glitz and glamour to brighten the long dark nights looming?

I really enjoyed film week. I'm not a great fan of themed weeks as I don't think we get the best dancing and often there's a forced nature to costume/makeup/dance. I think we saw that in Robert's Muppet dance. It wasn't great and he can dance better. Adam got a difficult dance too. Rarely do celebs cope well with the Rumba. There were some really good performances. AJ, Rose,Tom and Rhys, but the best dance for me by far was John and Johannes and their Paso doble.

Wow I loved "Strictly" this week. Can't wait for tonight's show to see who goes!! grin

DiscoGran Sun 10-Oct-21 10:16:39

Rose was amazing, so beautiful to watch I had misty eyes.

gillgran Sun 10-Oct-21 12:25:45

I'm still loving watching "Strictly", as I always have.

I was just saying, (on the "Grantchester" thread), how times have changed in my lifetime.
& thank goodness that they have.!

GrandmasueUK Sun 10-Oct-21 12:33:50

I thought last night was the best show for a long time. I enjoyed almost all the performances (although I love watching AJ I was pleased that she was almost speechless at the end because she never stops talking grin).

I thought the opening dance was beautiful, Rose definitely made me weep, and John and Johannes were absolutely sensational. I think this is the first year that I haven't actually taken a dislike to any of the participants.

I was pleased that Sara managed to maintain a high standard with her samba. She really had that 'samba bounce' they always talk about. But wasn't it difficult to decide whom to vote for?

Sparklefizz Sun 10-Oct-21 13:28:32

So who will be in the dance-off tonight? I think it might be Dan but not sure who else. I don't think Judi will be able to keep up with the high standard of the others in the future, but she did ok last night. In my opinion this is the most talented bunch of celebs and it's so hard to choose.

GrannyGravy13 Sun 10-Oct-21 14:12:39

Just caught up with last nights Strictly WOW

TillyTrotter Sun 10-Oct-21 14:17:55

Greg Wise and Dan Walker in the dance off maybe?
Although Katie McGlynn was in it last week and may not have a fan base so could be in it again?

Grannynannywanny Sun 10-Oct-21 14:46:39

I think Tilly might drop into the dance off tonight, she didn’t seem to dance as well as the previous weeks. I hope she manages to stay on.

Based on performance alone I think it would be fair for Dan to be in the dance off. But he may have a big fan base voting for him.

kissngate Sun 10-Oct-21 14:57:29

Loved the show my favourite was Rhys with his street dance, then AJ then Tom's jive. Afraid the boys paso didn't come in my top 3, a lot of posturing and not much else. As it's a popularity contest with the public vote predict Judy and Katie last two and Katie going.

Alegrias1 Sun 10-Oct-21 15:46:18

I'm not a fan of the Paso because its so false and stompy usually, but I think the JoJo's version was what a Paso is meant to be. Strong, excellent timing, no silly "Spanish lines", twirling of capes or twiddly fingers.

Sweetpeasue Sun 10-Oct-21 16:02:44

I wouldn't be surprised if Katie is in the dance off again and Dan looks especially weak as does Judy. I wonder why Dan went on Strictly really, I'd be interested to know. He's such a nice gentle man but it seems out of character. Judy certainly has the fun element.

Do what ?

TillyTrotter Sun 10-Oct-21 18:06:12

Look at the “Strictly spoiler” Twitter feed and tell us the result of the voting before the show is aired tonight Lucca.

Mollygo seems to think it is quite alright to tell us ahead of tonight.
Really Molly it’s not in the spirit of our thread and please don’t do it.

Mollygo Sun 10-Oct-21 18:19:14

Sorry, Ok I won’t, but Kissngate had already told you who was in the dance off, and who went out disguised under ‘the public vote’ before I posted.
All those who knew or now know about the thread mentioned by TillyTrotter will probably have a look on Twitter or FB next week anyway.

Lucca Sun 10-Oct-21 18:22:59

Oh so it’s not live then ?! Gullible me

No, kissngate said who she thought would be in the dance off.

It's not for you to assume everybody looks at spoilers. How thoughtless.

Mollygo Sun 10-Oct-21 18:47:30

I didn’t mention who else was in the dance off, disguised as ‘the public vote’.

DanniRae Sun 10-Oct-21 18:51:50

Well thanks Mollygo for ruining my evening - I have been looking forward to "Strictly" all day. As we say in my family "You must be so proud!!!!"
