Yes - finally. About to start tonight. 7 episodes. This is in my top three of great crime drama series. The Bridge is second with Shetland third.

The phone will be on silent and MrM had better not interrupt my pleasure. I think he's tempted to watch it though.

Jed Mercurio never ceases to come up with a great story line. Series 3 was probably be best so far for me.

Just seen these on Facebook, so recognisable.

Anyone else thinking that they don't want to watch next week as it means it's nearer the end?

Callistemon Tue 20-Apr-21 12:34:55

Yes

Follow that if you will, BBC!

Charleygirl5 Tue 20-Apr-21 13:03:35

I cannot think of a TV programme which outclassed this one-I could watch it every week and not get bored as it is so well written.

If Ryan dies will they ever know it was he who killed Corbett and that poor police driver

Atqui Tue 20-Apr-21 14:31:45

Except for what he said to Kate when she told him he was just a boy. But perhaps that’s another clue

Callistemon

Jed Mercurio must have a fantastic brain to keep all these characters and storylines linked, like one huge spider's web.

I wonder if he keeps a spreadsheet or a kind of 'family tree'. ?

I suspect when he is working his office looks like the offices of AC-12 ? Pictures, notes, post-its all over the place with arrows between them to link them...

Radio Times for Sunday 25th doesn’t list Kate or Ryan in the cast members. Mother of God. Can’t wait. Eek.

cornishpatsy - ???
I love the knitted dolls. I want them! I'm sure if someone made some dolls they would sell like hot cakes.

Calendargirl Tue 20-Apr-21 16:08:20

Oh, the Steve Arnott one is so sweet!

?

Chestnut Tue 20-Apr-21 16:12:09

You missed out Kate ?

Alegrias1 Tue 20-Apr-21 16:30:19

Can we see the Ted and Kate dolls in a graffiti-covered underpass please?? grin

They really look like them!

Greeneyedgirl

Are there any plot spoilers on the podcast? (before I watch). It’s the best thing that’s been on TV for ages. Worth the licence fee on its own!
I thought Adrian Dunbar was good on Have I got News last Friday.

I thought he was excellent. The way his one liners and the usual initials and acronyms were written into the script made it a very funny watch.

I love the dolls. If I sometimes think of ditching Gransnet it’s posts like this keep my interest smile

Tonight's the night when we discover who shot who. I believe Ryan will be wiped out, which will be so annoying. I was enjoying him being secretly watched, and how brilliant if they had used him for a sting to catch H and the OCG. After all the bad stuff he has done he should be forced to help the Police and bring his mates to justice.

Charleygirl5 Sun 25-Apr-21 12:15:35

I have a feeling Kate is a goner. Jo did not have a gun. A lot depends on how long it takes Hastings and co to get there if there will be anybody at the site apart from dead bodies? Anybody in their right mind, apart from Kate, should scarper.

I am sure Ryan has met his maker.

grandmajet Sun 25-Apr-21 12:23:51

Did anyone watch Goodbye Christopher Robin last night? Jo Davidson was his nanny!!

Charleygirl5 Sun 25-Apr-21 12:25:59

No, I watched Casualty which was surprisingly good for once. I do not recognize the programme but I only have Freeview.

Chestnut Sun 25-Apr-21 12:52:54

Surely Ryan realises he will not achieve anything by shooting Kate, and better to be caught than to be killed?

Alegrias1 Sun 25-Apr-21 12:57:40

Ryan could have shot Kate and Jo shock then scarpered.

I don't think he did, but its possible.

Charleygirl5 Sun 25-Apr-21 13:01:12

I cannot believe next Sunday is the last episode- what on earth am I going to watch? (ever again!)

Chestnut Sun 25-Apr-21 15:32:38

Ryan has murdered before and will be 'most wanted' either way. He has nothing to lose or gain by killing Kate or Jo. They all know he's as guilty as. He may as well give up and wave his white hanky.

Jaxjacky Sun 25-Apr-21 15:37:32

Charleygirl5 Jo didn’t have a police issue gun, she may be carrying anyway? I almost want to watch the last two programmes in slow motion to make them last longer!

Aldom Sun 25-Apr-21 15:39:57

Cornishpatsy The knitted dolls are so realistic.

grandmajet Sun 25-Apr-21 16:53:22

She didn’t look as if she had a gun, she looked terrified. I think Ryan may have shot Jo, and Kate shot Ryan. But no fatalities.
