Bill got all my 6 votes this evening. I thought he was brilliant!

Well done to Bill and Oti, but - Bill's dancing is not in the same league as either HRVY's or Maisie's. Compared with theirs, his routines were not spectacular. Disappointed.

Bill was great but not the best of the dancers. Oh well, bigger disappointments than that today.

I think Oti is very popular though.

Well, there’ll definitely pair her with a no-hoper next year.

With her winning last year, I'm sure they thought giving her Bill, the same wouldn't happen this year.

Oti's choreography was brilliant. From the first week Bill surprised lots of people. I was over the moon that he won it but agree that HRVY and Maisie's performances were good.

I thought anybody could have won tonight and Jamie had upped his game.

Bill to me looked very light on his feet- he did exceptionally well.

Maisie and Gorka were my choice to win,,,,,definitely not Bill. Happened to be in his suit to win!

Motsi should not be a judge on the show where her sister is a pro dancer!
I do realise it was a public vote tonight though!!

I agree 100% re Motsi and I think she should be replaced by Anton next year.

They could let Motsi go, Bruno will be back next year and the show would work with just 3 judges as it did this year.

It’s never just about the dancing, more who is popular but also who has worked really hard to constantly improve and takes the contest seriously.

Sorry Sparklefizz, I didn’t mean to upset you at all, you must be having a miserable time with your teeth, hope you feel better soon.

I think that the public vote for the person who they engage with, and perceive has made the greatest improvement over the series, not the person who is the best dancer necessarily.

Bill wasn’t my favourite, can’t complain though as I never vote. Do agree, time for Motsi to move on from the panel.

Well after all the stuff from the government today Bill winning Strictly was the last straw for me. Can’t remember being so annoyed about something for a long time. It so should have been Maisie or HRVY. I’m very disappointed for them. Can’t see what anybody sees in him and what was the point of the guitar stuff that isn’t dancing

And I’m so happy, TwiceAsNice! Oh well, we can’t all be suited at the same time, can we?

I’ve spoken to my AC and spouses tonight. They are all delighted that Bill won. Likewise my grandchildren.

I admitted I was disappointed and just didn’t get why he was so popular. They unanimously agreed that ,out of the finalists, he improved the most from day 1. Whereas Maisie and HRVY were too good from day 1.

(I still don’t get it)

I haven’t missed Bruno one bit, all his ridiculous OTT falling off his chair and hysterics.

Like his hair colour though, suits him.

Am quite sure his absence was the main reason for Craig being so much more relaxed and positive though. Think Bruno irritated him no end.

Never missed Len Goodman either.

I am disappointed that Bill won - To be honest when it was announced I was so shocked I immediately turned off the tv and I might have said a rude word As someone up thread has already said what with Government announcements and now this ............. I am not a happy bunny!!

Hrvy & Maisie were brilliant from the start - no change - no progress.
Bill is much older with no recent stage school training so had to work much harder, and was actually very good!
Plus obviously very popular with the public.
I’m happy he won.

Disappointing result; Bill Bailey performed well consistently, but he was not the best dancer; the three other contestants were all superior to him in ability and performance.. A victory for clever choreography and a strong fan club.

I do not understand why people object to Motsi being a judge and not Bruno. When has Motsi commented or voted more in favour of her sister? When? I would vote for Anton to replace Bruno. Even from afar Bruno spoils it with his silly ways. Three judges worked well though I wish they would all help the dancers with constructive criticism like Craig. Their emotional excitement would then have more meaning.

It was all about improvement otherwise the winner could be picked on the first show. The younger ones were good from the start and Bill wasn’t but you could see his improvement.
