DH and I are both big radio fans and at breakfast today we were musing on the ones we miss.
My favourites were;-
Men from the Ministry
The Glums
Beyond our Ken
30 minute theatre
Hancocks Half Hours

DH was a big Dick Barton fan and is still devoted to The Archers

Any you miss? I know you can get some on Radio 4 Extra but it doesn't seem the same.

Round The Horn was always my favourite and still is - I still play the CDs and have a good giggle. I liked Life with the Lyons, The Huggetts, Al Read, Ray’s a Laugh, Family Favourites. Didn’t like The Clitheroe Kid or The Navy Lark though. I think I got my love of light music from listening to programmes like Friday Night is Music Night and The Vic Oliver programme, and learned a lot of geography from listening to Sandy MacPherson’s programme with requests from all over the empire! Top of the Form, Animal Vegetable and Mineral....... I am getting quite wistful now.

We certainly got our money’s worth from the radio licence in those days!
