Anyone watching Split I am but can’t say I m enjoying it much which is a disappointment as I usually like Nicola Walker s dramas

Cherrytree59 Tue 22-May-18 22:42:48

I also like Nicola Walker
There is something about her eyes.

I did find the dancing in the street with her sister abit surreal.

Last episode next week.
Think she might give both men the push.

It will be Interesting to see what the private detective digs up?

DH adores Nicola Walker and is loving this series. I am mildly enjoying it but the characters are all so unlikeable. The only one I have time for is Rose's on-off fiance but I do wish he'd brush his hair! And they all seem to drink enough to re-float the Titanic, albeit from glasses I'd really quite like to have ....

Shirleyw Tue 22-May-18 18:25:25

Aah, thanks for that

Lazigirl Tue 22-May-18 09:11:50

Yes it was a dating site which was hacked and details released with many prominent people on it. Didn't something similar happen a while ago in RL?

mumofmadboys Tue 22-May-18 07:13:43

I thought it was a dating site

Shirleyw Tue 22-May-18 04:58:14

Caught up with the 4 episodes which are on iplayer....thought I'd stick it out and am hooked now, a bit I didn't get was when Nathan was found to be on the 'list'..was that illicit viewing on something on Internet?

Lazigirl Thu 03-May-18 13:41:25

Re the sculpture Kitty I really like it and wonder if I can persuade my children to cough up, it's not cheap. How nice of yours to get it for you. Will probably have to treat myself!

BlueBelle Thu 03-May-18 05:51:20

Eleothan I don’t like any of the characters either the three daughters are plain annoying and the would be husband looks a drip (literally what’s his nose all about ) the mother’s a harsh bugger the characters all seem linked by some man or other as well as by the building
I hope it improves I ll keep watching but I am disappointed I usually love Nicola Walkers characters

Eloethan Wed 02-May-18 23:53:00

It's mildly entertaining but I can't seem to warm to any of the characters. Also I think it's a bit silly that all these lawyers seem to be inter-connected in some way and so constantly turn up in each other's offices. Having worked in many law firms, it is not a scenario I recognise.

I couldn't read the text messages either and was blaming my new glasses.

I've just watched the second episode and I agree the storyline isn't brilliant but I'm quite enjoying it and shall continue to watch.

nanaK54 Wed 02-May-18 20:04:26

Looks like I am in the minority then, I am really enjoying it so far

Mapleleaf Wed 02-May-18 19:17:34

I watched episode 1 but wasn’t impressed, so didn’t bother with episode 2.

Day6 Wed 02-May-18 17:13:41

Teetime, I agree with you.

Nicola Walker is just Nicola Walker with her grimaces, silences, expressionless stares, yet again. She might was well scrape her hair back, put dirt under her fingernails and get back to the farm in Yorkshire and do a bit of Last Tangoing In Halifax. Same old same old.

I gave up on the first episode. I found it all contrived and implausible, hard to follow, the dialogue was stilted (when I could hear it) and I didn't warm to any of the awful characters.

BlueBelle Wed 02-May-18 16:38:25

If I wanted to look at interiors I d watch a design programme I was expecting a drama
Eazybee I can’t read the text messages either bugger isn’t it?

kittylester Wed 02-May-18 16:32:25

Yep! The children gave it me for mother's day last year because it just fits our family.

Lazigirl Wed 02-May-18 16:29:10

Is that the one with figures sitting in a row kitty?

kittylester Wed 02-May-18 16:24:01

Talking of interior design, a friend messaged and said, 'they've got your bronze' - theirs was probably the original on which mine is based!

Teetime Wed 02-May-18 16:17:24

Its all a bit Dallas/Footballers Wives genre but a light bit of TV I don't mind it. Nicola walker is a watchable actress except for the umm err twitching bit she does at times - irritating- probably only me that notices. She didn't do it in Spooks but perfected it in Last Tango.

goldengirl Wed 02-May-18 14:55:28

I'm finding it rather too complex for 9pm! Also I can't understand what's being said half the time - what's happened to elocution??? I find it difficult to remember the various relationships as well but I'm tempted enough to keep at it - if I've got nothing better to do!

henetha Wed 02-May-18 10:22:34

It's too complicated for my little brain. I was looking forward to it so much, but found it too muddled with too many people.

Lazigirl Wed 02-May-18 09:56:59

May be very far fetched but I am enjoying interior decor smile. What is annoying is that they are often communicating by text message which I can't read. It's not so much about the law at the end of the day but who gets off with who and the collateral damage which ensues - oh and power.

eazybee Wed 02-May-18 09:48:11

Well, I am thoroughly enjoying watching Nicola Walker's new haircut and wardrobe, and the second sister's hair and clothes are pretty good too. Not to mention the shoes! Oh, and the wallpaper in Deborah Findlay's office.
I should imagine anyone remotely connected with the legal world is howling with laughter, but as I am not I can happily suspend disbelief and enjoy good acting in an admittedly rubbish plot.
The corner office ought to get a credit too; I am sure I have seen it several times before.

GrandmaL Wed 02-May-18 08:05:04

Totally agree, disappointed in it too, although I'll probably stick it out just to see if anything improves ( despite GrandadL muttering "what a load if rubbish" in the background!)
Although I thought it was 4 parts and have just noticed it is 6. Might be too much time to invest in!!
Anthony Head character completely annoying!

TwiceAsNice Wed 02-May-18 08:01:31

I have not watched the second episode yet but enjoyed the first

Pittcity Wed 02-May-18 07:56:22

It grabbed my attention with the first episode but fizzled out last night.
