Have watched the whole series on catchup and have absolutely loved it.

I haven't quite worked out why Julia's mum stopped helping with the children and whether her husband is actually away on business or has left. It does remind me of when someone phoned to speak to my ex and when my son answered the phone and said his dad was working on the loft I had to tell him that he was, in fact, in Germany.

I would love Julia’s mother to start a threas on here ?

I loved the bit where her mum was hiding behind the sofa; and when Julia opens up her heart to her mum but, when her mum does the same she realises that no one is listening#storyofmylife

I still haven't made up my mind about Motherland. Some of the scenes are just too predictable, slapstick but not as funny as they should be, more groan-making.

The main character is extremely irritating but her two side kicks are quite funny.
Anna Maxwell Martin is a fine actress actor but I do wish she would stop gurning in this role - and I cannot believe that an events organiser can be so disorganised with her home life - and completely clueless about organising a children's party.
(Yes, I do know some events organisers and they are extremely organised people in their private life too!).

Julia deserves all she gets from her mother - well done Mum!

Tonight's episode brilliant Kevin was sooo good

Will try to catch up with tonight's episode
However, am not finding that I can laugh at it which I hoped I would, perhaps I prefer my comedy not quite so predictable and in parts it is quite ridiculously OTT.

ps I just find it more cringe than funny although the other two characters, her mates, are good.
